Background
The esteemed Organization of Alahyaa Centers in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region is a cherished social institution with exceptional standards aimed at improving people’s lives. In its effort to ensure social change, it focuses on establishing integrated centers encompassing social, sports, and cultural aspects in different neighborhoods. Due to its expansive activities, it needed a sophisticated organization portal to deliver effective community service.
Some of the salient aspects of the solution we created include
- A dedicated portal for each of the organization's 30 different centers. The system allows for the publishing of news and information from individual centers and through the centralized system too.
- Complete event management system with support for registration, attendance management, etc. along with detailed reporting features.
- A comprehensive system for registering and managing volunteers which integrates with the National Volunteer Platform.
- Membership system and support for E-payment (credit cards, debit cards, wire transfer)
- Support for live streaming and broadcasting of live events.
- Interactive Virtual Tours allow users to visualize the organization’s facilities and its affiliated centers through the 360Toon virtual tours system (VR)
- Facility reservation system for neighborhood residents to book a variety of facilities ranging from sports playgrounds to community halls.
Each center can directly manage its data and communicate with its beneficiaries.
Results and Achievement
The portal had the distinction of being officially launched by HRH Prince Mishal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, governor of Jeddah. Its rich feature set and overall usability have gained it positive media coverage and universal appreciation.
Arzaq portal, a part of Alahyaa, also got the distinction of being nominated to the final round of the prestigious Jeddah Innovation Award.
The portal is currently used by a large userbase consisting of centers members and their employees, beneficiaries, and volunteer teams. As it grows in popularity, we continue to work towards adding newer modules and advances features to the portal.
